When Zora Duntov unveiled the independent rear suspension of the 1963 Corvette, he elevated the American sports car to a world class level. That design remained virtually unchanged for the next 20 years. In the last 25 years, we have learned how to keep this design competitive with the worlds best sports cars.

This 2 1/4 inch, nine leaf spring has the same 196 lb. spring rate as the original 9-leaf spring that was installed new in your 63-77 Corvette. It is going to feel twice as stiff as your old one when you install it, since your old spring has very likely lost 50% of its spring rate over the years. This 2 1/4 inch, seven leaf spring came with the F41 option, and is rated at 330 lbs, for a substantially firmer ride.

These curled leaf springs are close to the original, but they may not pass NCRS inspectors. They are as close as we have found. If you are going for Bloomington Gold, send your spring to us and we will dissassemble it, re-arc it and put it together as original for the same price. These springs are 2 1/2 inches wide, 9-leaf with the stock 260 lb. spring rate. Corvettes put on weight in the later years of the C3, and needed the additional spring rate. If you have a 78 Corvette, measure the width of your old spring! Chevrolet changed to the wider spring early in the model year, and this wide one won't fit your car if you have the early design spring mount. Free Freight

Here are three options for the hardware package that mounts the end of the spring to the trailing arm. The OEM set is an exact GM replacement, while the R052 set has aircraft style 7/16th inch Grade 8 bolts with lock nuts in place of the OEM style bolts with cotter pins. I recommend using the less expensive but stronger aircraft style bolts, unless you are trying to impress the NCRS. You can also get this set with Poly bushings, or with 2 inch longer spring bolts to give you some more ride height adjustment.

This is the famous TRW composite spring. It will be shipped directly from the factory to you. Springs are available in either 315, 340 or 355 LB spring rates. Each spring comes with a heat shield and all mounting hardware. Note: The 315 LB spring rate is not available for model years 80-82. These springs are made to order. Allow 8-10 business days for manufacturing, plus the shipping time.

This is one car set of NEW OEM strut rods with rubber bushings. 63-74 have the small bushings, 75-79 have the big bushings, and 80-82 are angled at the end and get the large bushings.

If your strut rods have not been used as a jacking point, you could get by with bushings only. We offer both OEM and Poly. This is a good place to use Poly in your suspension, as it deflects less under load and therefore helps keep the outside rear tire from going into positive camber. Unlike front end Poly bushings, there is no price to pay in ride harshness with Poly strut rod bushings. ONE CAR SET.

For racing applications, this is the only way to go. As you know, the strut rod acts as the lower control arm on the rear suspension of the 63-82 Corvette. For racing, nothing but steel will do for bushings. These are high quality spherical rod ends, Left and Right hand threaded to simplify camber adjustment. The camber support bracket has been strengthened and modified to accommodate the rod ends. If you are installing this set on a street car with a composite spring and heat shield, this setup won't work The strut rod mounting locations are lowered in the bracket and the heat shield mounting tabs have been removed.
